Dinner on the boat

Dinner doesn’t always look like this… When you ask Ellamae (our 7 year old) to set the table in her “fancy” way, she goes all out. We just got these fake candles so that we can safely have some candlelight. I must say, we are very happy with them. It adds warmth and is becoming somewhat of a ritual during meal times.

We have a wind generator!

We have our wind generator up and ready to go! We also put in a Morningstar Tri-star 45 power controller so that the extra power we generate won’t fry our batteries. With our solar panels and our KISS wind generator, we feel confident we will have sufficient power.

We are now at Treasure Island anchorage producing 10 amps in 14 knots of wind! And it’s so quiet!

Fair winds to S/V Coccinelle

Our new cruising friends s/v coccinelle , who sailed from their homeland of France over 2.5 years ago, are departing to continue their voyage around the world. They have stayed in the Bay Area and Sausalito for the last month. We have throughly enjoyed their company. Their kids and our kids had so much fun together despite not being able to communicate in the same language. We will miss them dearly and look forward to seeing them during our journey. Fair winds to S/V Coccinelle
