First day of boat schooling

We were going to wait until tomorrow to start (today was suppose to be teacher meeting day between Christian and I), but the girls just could not wait! The two lessons today included picking an animal in nature, drawing it, and then a report to work on over the next few days. Animal of choice, the Clark’s Grebe. The second , math. Both girls were so eager to do math! Makes teaching easy. Loving this.

Rainy day life on the boat

Here are some pictures of what our life looks like when it’s rainy out.

We dress for the occasion, because there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad attire for the weather. Nina is too big for the full puddle pants suit, but Ellamae and Taj sure love it. You can purchase them at A Toy Garden

We have a wind generator!

We have our wind generator up and ready to go! We also put in a Morningstar Tri-star 45 power controller so that the extra power we generate won’t fry our batteries. With our solar panels and our KISS wind generator, we feel confident we will have sufficient power.

We are now at Treasure Island anchorage producing 10 amps in 14 knots of wind! And it’s so quiet!
