Weekend sail to China Camp

This past weekend was the 40th annual Cleat Cruise. The destination has not always been China Camp, but has been for the past many years. After a day sail from Richardson Bay, or other Bay Area ports, many drop the hook for the day and night and some for the whole weekend. During the Saturday evening BBQ and potluck the “cleat” gets passed to the next person. The winner is picked by a drawing and given a plaque to keep for the next year. It is that person’s responsibility to organizing the next year’s Cleat Cruise.
Christian was the “cleat holder” about 7 years ago. What a fantastic way to get the local sailing community together for the weekend. IMG_2974.JPG
